ARIZONA ASSOCIATION OF CHIROPRACTIC As a community service endeavor, Bashas' HealthStyles offers you (as an AAC member-doctor) an opportunity to present your services in a comfortable, friendly, convenient and familiar environment. Their mini-health fairs in various Bashas’ markets allow you to introduce yourself to shoppers, offer information about your practice, and fulfill an important community service. The ability to interact with customers in their neighborhood market is an important aspect of the program. These screenings are a member benefit to our doctors: ONLY AAC voting members can participate in this program. Bashas’ publicizes their mini-health-fairs extensively in colorful printed ads and other marketing media, so (although they must meet other application criteria) doctors only pay a $50 application fee. The AAC usually schedules chiropractic screenings in Bashas' stores during the months of May, September and December. Schedules will be set on a first-come, first-served basis! About Bashas' HealthStyles: The HealthStyles program presents quality health screenings and educational programs to the public in Bashas' markets. Screening providers include non-profit and for-profit businesses or organizations with a health service or health education focus. The program has become a well-established and reliable means for customers to receive important services that they might otherwise postpone or forego. Customers appreciate the convenience of receiving health screenings in a familiar, relaxed and friendly “mini-health-fair” environment. Screening services covering a broad spectrum of fundamental health concerns have included thyroid, prostate cancer, arthritis, mammogram (provided in a modern FDA approved mobile unit), nutrition and weight control, immunizations, cholesterol, vision, hearing, diabetes, foot, skin cancer, spinal, and health risk assessment. The public generally learns of HealthStyles through Sunday advertising supplements in the Arizona Republic and Tribune newspapers (a combined readership of more than 1,000,000 people), plus radio advertising, the Bashas’ website (www.bashas.com), and in-store notices -- as well as ad mailers! The Sunday supplement is a multi-page insert featuring announcements of the screenings, information on current health concerns provided by health service organizations, and the HealthStyles pull-out section. Chiropractic screenings through AAC and Bashas' HealthStyles are currently offered during the months of May and December.
